Book Show - Blue Beetle

An edition of Channel 6's The Book Show television programme, featuring one of Blue Beetle Productions’ plays at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Blue Beetle Productions director says they have brought three new productions to the Fringe and describes the first, called Taybok, effectively a day in the life of a television set. He explains that the performance works towards a particularly nasty game show, taking in such staple TV elements as the Large Breakfast, the Michael and Jilly Show, makeover programmes, a reality TV series called Big Sister and an Australian soap-opera.

The programme ends with an extract of their performance of the hammy Aussie soap. This video recording lasts 5 minutes and 21 seconds.
