Art in Scotland - Neal Beggs and Kevin Kelly

A film edition of Channel 6 Broadcasting’s Art in Scotland featuring Neal Beggs and Kevin Kelly at Glasgow’s Tramway.

Neal Beggs talks about his conceptual art. He has three pieces in the show, a photograph called ’Some Kind of Meaning’, a video called ‘Expressway’ and a sleeping bag with sequins entitled ‘Sleeping Bag’.

Kevin Kelly is showing a collection of monkey imagery housed in a kind of monkey house built in the gallery. He says the show stems from his interest in how images of monkeys are used in our culture, and he says the work includes elements of social criticism and satire.

Stylishly recorded in the gallery using two cameras, the programme includes brief shots of the works and short clips from the videos used by both artists. This video recording lasts 8 minutes and 0 seconds.
