Galileo Satellite Project - Ice (2 of 2)

This audio piece is the second of two tracks based around themes of space and the Galileo satellite, created by GCSE music students over the space of a week, in collaboration with sound artist Robert Jarvis. Forming part of the students’ G.C.S.E work portfolio, the compositions had to be no more than five minutes in length. The pieces were designed to accompany a laser show and projected images in the London Planetarium, as part of a concert with musicians from the London Festival Orchestra. For this piece the pupils chose to focus on Jupiter’s moons, especially Europa. The first piece in this series, “Galileo” and other collaborative projects by Robert Jarvis are also available on The Showcase. For further information see http://robertjarvis.com . This audio recording lasts 3 minutes and 26 seconds.
