Transmutations

This website is an interactive artwork site, commissioned by the National Disability Arts Forum and designed by artist, Jenni Meredith. The main homepage links to two further website pages, one of which is Flash image-based (and may take time to initially load) and the other page is text-based. The image-based page consists of one large image, split into three parts. Each part can be clicked, with a mouse, to create a variety of ‘mix and match’ pictures, above the slogan ‘My Disability is Your Stares’. The text page (also Flash based but loads quickly) has the similar ‘mix and match’ theme; three lines of text can be altered by pressing keys to create new pieces of poetry, around the subject of disability. A very simple, basic and easy to use website which illustrates the idea of different & changing perspectives and meanings.
