A short television programme featuring the Scottish Socialist Party Member of the Scottish Parliament, Tommy Sheridan, who was trying to establish an organisation to highlight miscarriages of justice in Scotland.
Talking directly to the camera, he claims that Scotland has more than its fair share of alleged miscarriages of justice.
At the time of recording the Criminal Cases Review Commission had more than 150 cases pending. He says that this demonstrated the need for an independent organisation to highlight miscarriages of justice and make sure that those who are innocently imprisoned get their cases heard as quickly as possible. He regarded the Commission as greatly under-resourced. This video recording lasts 1 minute and 30 seconds.
