Keith Murphy of St David’s High School in Dalkeith talks to Diverse TV about the school’s own record company, Pear Shape Records.
The pupils decide what the company will record and release, writing the songs, recording them in one of their two studios, designing the artwork and releasing the finished CDs.
Pear Shape Records’ Managing Director, pupil David Trotter, says the response has been brilliant and praises the support the label has received from staff. Keith Murphy sees the project as something that other schools might want to copy.
During the interviews we see a few close-up shots of the school studios and the programme finishes with a caption giving contact details for the school. This video recording lasts 3 minutes and 9 seconds.
