Space, Sewers and Beyond : Head to Head Trailer |
|
| The “Space, Sewers and Beyond” collection of short films, were all made by young people aged between 14-19, who are learning disabled or hearing-impaired. “Massive Message Productions” engaged young people with some creative practitioners to work together to incorporate disability access into production values, processes and product. The aim of the project was not only to give the young people access to filmmaking, but also to involve artists and filmmakers who had not worked with learning disabled or hearing-impaired young people before. A DVD was produced, with many of the films including subtitles, audio description and sign interpretation. All these alternate versions of the films can also be found on ‘The Showcase’ website, along with a short video of credits of all involved in “Space, Sewers and Beyond”. This short is a trailer for the animated film “Head to Head”. The trailer invites us to imagine a world with no ideas; we are told this is the story of “an orange idea” which will take us to strange and wonderful worlds. There are lots of clips of many different types of animation used in this film, the full version of which is also available on The Showcase. This video recording lasts for 50 seconds. |
