I Was There

A short video piece looking at one woman’s memories of her father as a miner and their family’s extensive involvement in supporting the miners’ strikes in the 1980s, fighting for what they believed was right. It is narrated by Paula Richards and illustrated with photographs of her family; images of the strikes and conflicts themselves, and symbols relating to events of the time. The piece is dedicated “with love to all those who marched and are still marching”. This audio recording last for 2 minutes and 35 seconds.
