AgriCultured : Farming Lives, Past and Present

An oral history project highlighting and archiving changes in agriculture in Oxford, SouthEast England. Themes include new technology, Government subsidy and international trade, and the effects of these on farmer’s livelihoods and the overall culture of farming life. Information is detailed through oral history interviews conducted by the Agricultured Project (transcripts available on the site for downloading) and analysed through an accompanying radio documentary. Listeners can hear the radio programme on-line or download it. The briefing and radio programme are presented as workshop materials for use in schools or other education groups.

The original audio recordings of the farmers interviews and documentation were deposited with the Centre for Oxfordshire Studies on 25 November 2003.
