A short video drama exploring issues in the lives of young asian women through the eyes of 17 year old college girl, Seema. Expected by her boyfriend and family to play the roles of wife and mother, Seema rebels and teams up with Naz, a charming, seemingly successful older boy at her college. Life changes dramatically as Seema finds herself drawn into drugs, prostitution, blackmail and violence. It takes an overdose and hospitalisation to make Seema realise her mistakes and seize the opportunity to change her life. The film focuses on some potential dangers that British teenagers may have to face in today’s society. It also reflects upon the British Asian community where traditional roles can be strictly enforced. Please be aware that very strong language is used throughout and drug use is depicted. Also, dialogue recording levels vary throughout.
