Digitate - The Story of Geordie Wirrell |
|
A very short animated film by Mark Edmondson, one in a series of five made by young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. A simple and rather dark tale using skilful animation techniques. Geordie Wirrell is standing on his porch when he is startled by a meteorite crashing to earth beside him. Realising it must be hot, he first touches it with the blade of his penknife. When the knife does not melt he foolishly decides the meteorite is safe to handle and he is quickly consumed by fire. Note – very young children might be distressed to see our hero going up in flames. This video program lasts for 1 minute and 49 seconds.
