Stop the War

A short video focussing on a protest demonstration in central London against the possibility of a war against Iraq, featuring speeches and interviews with, leading political and media figures. The video is a useful record of the beliefs and wishes of the protesters and their use of mass protest to express their views in the largest peace protest to be seen in the capital for decades. It concentrates on the views of the peace protesters rather than attempting to be a detailed exploration of the issues surrounding the Iraq crisis. The video includes an extract of a speech by London Mayor Ken Livingstone, a short interview with filmmaker Ken Loach and also features former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter and award-winning journalist John Pilger. See www.undercurrents.org for further information. The video lasts for 4 minutes and 44 seconds.
